Final Walk-Through Inspection
Shortly before closing, it’s common to schedule a final visit to the property. This ensures that everything remains in the condition expected, all agreed-upon items are present, and there are no unexpected issues. Even if you’re not moving in immediately, this inspection gives peace of mind that your investment is exactly as promised.
Home Services and Utilities
After closing, your attorney or property manager can assist with setting up utilities, internet, and other home services when you are ready to occupy the property. I can also provide guidance and recommendations to make this process seamless.
Closing Day
On closing day, the attorney or escrow company will provide a settlement statement summarizing all financial transactions. You and the seller will sign to confirm accuracy. If financing is involved, the necessary documentation will also be completed.
If you are overseas or unable to attend in person, I can help coordinate remote participation. Funds can be wired electronically to the escrow account as specified in the settlement statement.
Receiving Property Details
At closing, the seller should provide keys and any important property documentation. Even if you do not plan to move in immediately, this ensures you have full access and control of your property from the moment ownership is legally transferred.
Support After Closing
Even after the transaction is complete, I remain available to address any minor issues or questions that may arise. From coordinating repairs to connecting you with trusted local service providers, my goal is to make your transition as smooth and stress-free as possible.
